I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) Tenders were called on 29 June 2010 and the process was overseen by the Department of Mines and Petroleum. (2) It was advertised on the WA government’s tender website http://www.tenders.wa.gov.au . (3) The final recommendation was made to Richard Sellers as Director General of the Department of Mines and Petroleum and he made the decision. (4) The criteria formed part of the tender documentation, which I now table. (5) See (4) above. (6) The contracts commenced on 1 September. Outcome 1 of the process is scheduled to conclude by the first quarter of 2011. The value of outcome 1 of the tender is $400 000, while the value of outcome 2 will vary depending on activity levels. The state government is putting its regulatory system for uranium mining under the most rigorous, independent assessment, and all I have got from the Greens (WA) is complaint, complaint, complaint.
