I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
(1) (a) It was $425 947; and
(b) it was $118 769.
(2) I can confirm
that the Cannington greyhound track closed for track repairs because Racing and
Wagering Western Australia stewards considered the track unsuitable for racing
due to unacceptable levels of sand ''kick back'' into the faces
and eyes of greyhounds.
(3) Track work was estimated to cost
$50 000. Trials are scheduled for Thursday, 25 August 2016.
(4) Track work was funded by Racing
and Wagering Western Australia.
(5) Mr David
Hobbs tendered his resignation as chief executive officer and it was accepted
by the board of the Western Australian Greyhound Racing Association.
