Hon Martin Aldridge asks about the potential cessation or postponement of dermatological clinics run by Perth Dermatological Clinic at Northam Health Service in 2025, and alternative services for Wheatbelt residents. The Minister's response indicates the schedule is determined by the private provider, who is still deciding on the 2025 schedule.

DERMATOLOGICAL CLINICS — NORTHAM
1362. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to
dermatological clinics conducted by the Perth Dermatological Clinic out of the
Northam Health Service.
(1) Is there an
indication that the clinics will cease to operate or be postponed in 2025?
(2) I f yes, what is
the reason for the reduction in service?
(3)
If yes, noting that appointments for the clinics are currently fully booked for
the remainder of this year, what alternative dermatology service will be
available to wheatbelt healthcare consumers?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following has been provided by the Minister
for Health.
(1)–(3) As
this is a private clinic, the schedule and frequency of visits is determined by
the private provider. The Perth Dermatology Clinic has advised the WA Country
Health Service that it is still determining its visiting schedule for 2025.
