GOLDFIELDS–ESPERANCE DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
506. Hon STEPHEN DAWSON to the minister representing the
Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to staff of the Goldfields–Esperance
Development Commission and their lack of confidence in the board and chief
executive, as reported in the Kalgoorlie
Miner on 31 August 2013.
(1) Will a
management audit be conducted; and, if not, why not?
(2) How many
temporary agency staff are employed at the commission, and what was the cost of
engaging temporary staff for the 2012–13 financial year and 2013 to
date?
(3) Is it true
the executive had not met with staff to discuss the regional investment
blueprint document as at 31 August 2013?
(4) When did
the minister first learn of conflict between staff and the GEDC executive, and
what has he done about it?
