MINISTER FOR PLANNING — CONFLICT OF
INTEREST — WARATAH AVENUE, DALKEITH
92. Mr J.N. HYDE to the Minister for Planning:
I have a supplementary question. Given that the minister's
cabinet colleague the Minister for Environment excused himself from decisions
on projects in his electorate, why has the minister refused to excuse himself
from a project with which he was infinitely more closely associated?

AnswerView source ↗

The proposal to amend the City of Nedlands planning scheme is
not something I have been associated with in any direct sense at all, except as
Minister for Planning in doing my job and being required to make a decision on
the recommendation from the Western Australian Planning Commission.
