(2) How many of the school crossings that have been reviewed have lost their Type A Status?

(4) How many of the crossings that have lost their Type A status are in the country and which schools are these?
(5) Are the children’s crossing sites visited when they are being reviewed by the Children’s Crossing and Road Safety Committee; and
(a) if yes, by whom, and what period of time is spent at each children’s crossing site; and
(b) if not, why not?
(6) How many school children’s crossings does the Children’s Crossing and Road Safety Committee intend to review in the financial year 2011–2012?
(7) How many Type A children’s crossings were there in each of the following years:
(a) 2008;
(b) 2009; and
(c) 2010?
(8) How many Type B children’s crossings were there in each of the following years:
(a) 2008;
(b) 2009; and
(c) 2010?
(9) How many Type A children’s crossings are due to lose their Type A status at the end of this school term?

(5) Yes. All sites are visited by the administrative body (Student Pedestrian Policy Unit) when reviewed by the Children's Crossings & Road Safety Committee.
(a) The Student Pedestrian Policy Unit. Onsite visit durations are approximately 1 hour.
(b) N/A
(6) The Student Pedestrian Policy Unit visits approximately 20 crossings per week. It is not possible to provide an accurate estimation as various factors (e.g. staffing issues, weather, school and public holidays, etc.) affect the number of surveys being conducted and reviews undertaken. Please note, following the Ministers moratorium no review surveys will be conducted until further notice.
