On 10 November 2021, the State Government announced a significant package of reforms to the system of local government in Western Australia. A detailed list of more than forty reform proposals, grouped in six themes, was open for public comment from 10 November 2021 to 25 February 2022.
This consultation has informed the Government’s work to progress this legislation, which the Government intends to introduce as soon as practicable.
