DAYLIGHT SAVING AMENDMENT BILL (NO. 3) 2007
Will the Leader of the House bring on for debate order of the day 521, which is the Daylight Saving Amendment Bill (No. 3) 2007, at the next sitting of the house; and, if not, why not? Hon KIM CHANCE

I thank the honourable Leader of the Opposition for his question. The Daylight Saving Amendment Bill (No.3) was moved by the Leader of the Opposition. It will be of some interest and topicality in coming weeks. In direct answer to the Leader of the Opposition’s question, I would be happy to commit to bringing the bill on for debate on the desired date; however, in the spirit of reciprocity of goodwill, I would expect the opposition to agree to progress a number of government bills, not necessarily within the same time frame but within an approximation of the same time frame. Yes, I would be happy to bring the bill on for debate provided that we have commitment to progress a number of bills within a useful time frame.
