(a) The Cook Labor Government continues to enhance our State’s public transport network.
Over 72km of new passenger rail, 23 new stations and 15 level crossings have been removed as part of METRONET, with new stations supported by a strong network of feeder bus services.
METRONET on Swan will enhance cross-river connections, with a new ferry service to operate between Applecross, Matilda Bay and Elizabeth Quay.
A number of 900-series high-frequency bus routes have been delivered across our suburbs, with a number of services enhanced to provide a limited-stop option during morning and afternoon peaks, helping people get where they need to go faster.
Public transport is also more affordable, with the introduction of the Go Anywhere fare, Fare Free Sundays, free travel to and from school for students, and Transwa fares permanently reduced by 50 per cent.
The Government will continue exploring ways to enhance our network.
