I thank the member for some notice of this question. On 24 June 2005 an e-mail was broadcast to Disability Services Commission staff advising them of the government’s approval of the following: the distribution of approved material to employees related to the unions’ “Your Rights at Work” campaign; reasonable paid time off work for employees to attend the unions’ “Your Rights at Work” public rallies, marches and other forums; and reasonable paid time off work for employees to attend meetings in their workplaces for the purpose of discussing the proposed federal changes with union delegates. Reasonable paid time off work is subject to agency operational needs and maintenance of services to the public and is at the discretion of line managers.
