(1)-(2) The recruiting of the additional 400 police officers as part of the State Government's commitment is a four year program and is progressing in line with a plan developed by Western Australia Police and approved by the State Government.
The creation of additional positions as part of the program will also occur over the four years as the Commissioner of Police determines the timing and function for the creation of positions. Allocations are made to address priorities as they occur and the allocation of additional positions to work with young offenders will be made as part of this process.
