Corrective Services
(1) $1,120.78 relating to 2 debtors.
(2) In view of the sensitive nature of bad debts, the names of the debtors have not been included in this response.
(3) The Department has a debt recovery policy, which involves the issue of several letters of demand to defaulting debtors. If this process is unsuccessful, the matter may be referred to the State Solicitor's Office for advice and, if appropriate, legal action may be taken to recover the debt.

(1) In the period between 1 July 2006 and 30 June 2007 the Small Business Development Corporation incurred two (2) bad debts totalling $231.
(2) The outstanding debtors were Sunset Coast Australia and Small Business Centre Wheatbelt South (Narrogin).
(3) The collectibility of receivables is reviewed on an ongoing basis with regular follow up action taken with long outstanding debtors.
