(b) if so, by how much will this add to the train journey from Perth to Mandurah?
b). Each station stop takes from 100 to 120 seconds in total time lost, compared with passing through that point at line speed. With respect to journey time, the Hon Member should note that the original South West Metropolitan Railway Master Plan included nine 'future' station stops south of Jandakot. These were to be built when patronage demand justified this, and by which time increased congestion on the Kwinana Freeway and increased journey times would ensure competitive journey times.

a). No - a station stop was always planned at Canning Bridge. Consideration of a station stop at South Perth was requested by City of South Perth, but no decision has been made.
