HOUSING — PILBARA
— MACRO REALTY DEVELOPMENTS — MINISTER FOR HOUSING
602. Mr F.M. LOGAN to the Minister for Housing:
I
refer to Macro Realty Developments' Pilbara investment update of 24 August
2016 and Ms Veronica Macpherson's statement to investors —
''I was pleased to speak with
the Hon. Brendon Grylls last week and receive the contact details for the
person heading up the development of the new investment migration visa
packages,''
(1) Did Ms Macpherson
have the minister's mobile phone number, and why did the minister give
her a business opportunity?
(2) Apart from
information on investment migration visas, what else did the minister discuss
with Ms Macpherson during the course of the contact?
(3) How many of
the visiting groups of investors or potential investors has the minister met
with in conjunction with Macro Realty, and what advice has he given to them?

I thank the
shadow Minister for Housing for the question.
(1)–(3) After
the member's question of two weeks ago, the principal of Macro Realty
rang me essentially to tell me that she would take down the YouTube video that
the member requested. It was a two-minute conversation. I was standing in the
car park of the shopping centre at Karratha as we spoke. She told me that there
was lots of interest from her international clients about migration visas, and
I told her that the Pilbara Regional Council was formulating a policy on that
issue—which is all public knowledge, and the conversation finished.
That was the extent of the conversation.
