I refer to the Department of Water’s Operational Policy 1.02 -
Water Conservation and Efficiency Plans
, and I ask -
(1) How many water licences have a water conservation and efficiency plan (WCEP) as part of the conditions of licence?
(2) How many water licenses of less than 0.5GL per year are required to have a WCEP at the level of -
(a) basic; and
(b) intermediate?
(3) How many water licenses at, or more than 0.5GL per year are required to have a WCEP at the level of -
(a) intermediate; and
(b) advanced?
(4) How does the Department monitor licensees’ progress against their WCEPs?
(5) What measures has the Department taken in 2010 and 2011 to assist licensees to comply with their WCEPs?
(6) Where licensees are not meeting the targets established in their WCEPs, what actions did the Department take to enforce compliance in 2010 and 2011?

(4) Periodic information, evaluation and improvement meetings.
(5) Stakeholder engagement, compliance activities and funding of International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives - Local Government for Sustainability Oceania.
(6) The Department of Water's current activities are focussed on education, information and assisting compliance and appropriate enforcement action.
