The Cook Labor Government is progressing major transmission upgrades to support WA’s clean energy transition, including expanding the contracted workforce by around 440 FTE to deliver Clean Energy Link - North. Contracts with GenusPlus, UGL Engineering, and Acciona form part of a $584 million State Budget investment for Western Power’s Clean Energy Link – North program, which has been reviewed by Infrastructure WA and publicly reported.
The funding allocation for further Clean Energy Link transmission projects is determined by the size and scope of each project. Details are commercially sensitive. Business cases will be submitted to Infrastructure WA as is required of all Government projects valued at over $100 million.
