While average occupied bed day cost was lower than expected, program-wide savings were not made as the funding provided was in line with the target set. The result was mainly due to variable occupancy rates across the funded services, resulting in a higher than expected number of bed days provided over the year and a reconfiguration of service funding in the 2014/15 financial year.
