With regard to the
“Allocations Committee” established pursuant to clause 6 of the Law Society
Public Purposes Trust Deed, appended as a schedule to the Law Society Public
Purposes Trust Act 1985 . I ask, can the Attorney General provide: (a) a copy(ies) of the Allocations Committee’s
summary of both the applications recommended for funding from the Trust, and
those recommended for rejection provided to the Attorney General with respect
to applications for triennial grant funding for 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2019, or
annual grant funding from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017, including the date(s)
the summary was provided to the Attorney General; (b) a copy(ies) of the Attorney General’s response
to the Allocations Committee’s recommendations identified in response to
Question (a), including the date(s) the response was provided to the Allocations
Committee; (c) a copy(ies) of any extension of the period for
the Attorney General’s response to the Allocations Committee’s recommendations,
agreed to by the Attorney General and the Allocations Committee, as provided in
clause 11(3) of the Trust Deed, including the date(s) of such extension; (d) a copy(ies) of any decision of the Allocations
Committee in reconsidering the Attorney General’s disapproval of the
Allocations Committee’s recommendation, as provided in clause 11(5) of the
Trust Deed, and any agreement or further recommendation by the Allocations
Committee; (e) a copy(ies) of the Attorney General’s
communication advising the Allocations Committee of which recommendations were
accepted and if any were rejected, including the date of such communication and
the date applicants were advised of the Attorney General’s decision; (f) a list identifying all persons, organisations or institutions
that applied to the Trust, by 4.00pm Thursday, 30 July 2015, for funding for
the period 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2019, and the financial year 1 July 2016 to 30
June 2017; (g) a list of the amount of all moneys, benefits or other
property representing the capital of the Trust Fund and accumulations thereto
held by the Trustee on 30 June 2015; (h) please provide a list of all persons, organisations or
institutions approved for funding from the Trust for 1 July 2016 to 30 June
2019, or annual grant funding from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017, including the
amount of funding approved for each such person, etc. , and whether the funding
was for a triennial or annual period; and (i) a list of all persons, organisations or institutions
approved for funding from the Trust from 2008 to 2014, including the amount of
funding approved for each such person, etc. , and whether the funding was for a
triennial or annual period?
