JOONDALUP HEALTH CAMPUS —
REDEVELOPMENT — PROJECT DEFINITION PLAN
684. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the project definition
plan for the expansion of the Joondalup Health Campus development stage 2
project.
(1) When did work on the PDP
commence and when is this work likely to conclude?
(2) Who within
the Department of Health and/or the North Metropolitan Health Service is
primarily responsible for drafting the PDP and which other individuals and
organisations are also involved?
(3) Regarding
part (2), if there is a steering committee or some other such focus group, how
many times has this group met to develop the PDP, and on what dates did these
meetings occur?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) The project
definition plan commenced in May 2019. The PDP is due for completion in
September 2019, with endorsement by the Department of Health expected in
October 2019.
(2) It is Dr
Robyn Lawrence, chief executive of the North Metropolitan Health Service,
project sponsor and chair of the project steering committee.
(3) The steering
committee includes representation from the North Metropolitan Health Service,
Department of Health, Department of Treasury, Department of Finance, State
Solicitor's Office and Mental Health Commission. The JHCD2 project was
governed by the Department of Health, with Angela Kelly, assistant director
general, as project sponsor, until 17 June 2019, when the project transitioned
to the North Metropolitan Health Service. The steering committee for the
project has met monthly, on the third Friday of each month. The steering
committee has met twice—17 May and 18 June—to specifically
discuss the PDP.
