The Department of State Development advises:
(1)     The following promotional material has been produced or is in production for the Kemerton Strategic Industrial Area (Kemerton SIA):
(2)        Approximately $71 000 has been spent or is committed under contract for the above promotional materials.
(3)        One industry has established in Kemerton since the development of the promotional material. Twelve industries have or are currently undertaking investigations into establishing in Kemerton since the development of the promotional material.
(4)        Industrial water, electricity and gas are all available in the Kemerton Strategic Industrial Area. Due to the often large and varying demand requirements for services for strategic industrial proponents (i.e. a proponent may choose to self-service its site), it is uneconomic to create actual connections in advance of understanding a proponents specific requirements. Planning has been undertaken as part of the Structure Plan to confirm available services and connection points.
(5)        Yes, the Kemerton Structure Plan is with the Western Australian Planning Commission for approval.
(6)        Not applicable
(7)        Yes, the Greater Bunbury Region Scheme amendment was published in the Government Gazette on 19 August 2016, and Amendment 114 to the Shire of Harvey District Planning Scheme No 1 is with the Minister for Planning for final endorsement.
