LSD — MEDICAL RESEARCH
473. Hon SOPHIA MOERMOND to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to an article published in
2020 titled ''Therapeutic Use of LSD in Psychiatry: A Systematic Review
of Randomized-Controlled Clinical Trials'', which can be found on the
United States National Library of Medicine website. The article concludes that
LSD has the potential to be used as a therapeutic agent, with new studies
needed to find its place in twenty-first century psychiatry.
(1) Is the
department aware of this research?
(2) Does the
department plan to explore the potential use of LSD in a psychiatric
environment?
(3) If no to (2),
why not?
