I refer to the recent decision of the Commissioner for the Town of Port Hedland, to reduce backdated rates payable by BHP, FMG and Roy Hill, from 100 percent to 25 percent across 4 years, and I ask: (a) will the Minister table the dates of any conversations between the Minister and the Town of Port Hedland Commissioner, Fred Reibling, in relation to the backdating of rates; (b) will the Minister table any correspondence received between the Minister and the Town of Port Hedland, from February 2017 to date, including employees and past or current elected representatives to do with the rates issue; (c) will the Minister advise which stakeholders and or external agencies were consulted with in the lead up to this decision being made; (d) was the Minister informed by the Town of Port Hedland, about the decision to seek reduced back rates, before it was revealed by the council; and (e) if yes to (d), when?
