(2) The number of persons in custody to have escaped legal custody whilst on court premises managed by Corrections Corporation Australia (CCA) or Australian Integration Management Services (AIMS) or whilst in the care of CCA or AIMS are:- (a) 1 August 2000 to 31 July 2001 – 6 (b) 1 August 2001 to 31 July 2002 – 4 (c) 1 August 2002 to 12 March 2003 – 2. A further two persons escaped from legal custody from Armadale Court on 14 March 2003. For the purposes of the contract with AIMS, there has been no determination as to whether they are escapes under the contract. The Department of Justice is awaiting all information prior to making a determination.
