ELECTORAL AMENDMENT BILL, GREENS SUPPORT
I refer the minister to the debate on the Electoral Amendment Bill in which Hon Nick Griffiths, in response to a question from me which asked why the Government would send the Bill back from the Legislative Assembly with amendments for two extra council members, said - The Government has given its word to the Greens (WA) that that will not occur . . . To do otherwise would be an act of great dishonour; therefore, that will not occur. (1) On what other matters has the Government given its word to the Greens (WA) to secure the passage of the electoral legislation? (2) On what other legislation does the Government intend to do a deal with the Greens? Hon KIM CHANCE

I regret to inform the member that I do not have an answer for him. I am not aware in any fine detail of arrangements between our party and any other party in this place on legislation, other than that which was reached between the Leader of the Opposition and me.
