(1) The estimated cost for the production and postage of the postcards is $4 234.54. The campaign ran throughout the month of October 2007. (2) Approximately 9 000 postcards were distributed at the Perth Royal Show and at various other events. (3) During October 2007, a record number of applicants applied to join the Western Australia Police - the highest number since 2004. It is not possible to determine how many police officers have been recruited as a result of the postcard campaign.
