I refer to the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2025 , and I ask: (a) what was the catalyst for bringing about these amendments to the regulations; (b) who was consulted prior to these amendment regulations being finalised; (c) in reference to (b), did any person consulted raise any concerns; (d) if yes to (c), what were these concerns; (e) in reference to (d), have the finalised amendment regulations addressed these concerns; and (f) if no to (e), why not?

(a) The Amendment Regulations were necessary because of the replacement of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal with the Administrative Review Tribunal. They were preceded by the Legal Profession Uniform Admission Amendment (Administrative Review Tribunal) Rule 2025 .
(b) Consultation was not undertaken specifically on the Amendment Regulations given they are consequential to the Amendment Rule referred to at paragraph (a).
