(1) A rezoning amendment and associated local structure plan are being considered by the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River. Once satisfied that the documents are in order, the Shire will refer the proposed amendment to the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) for approval to advertise. The EPA will consider matters such as the adequacy of the setbacks provided between the industrial estate and other landholdings. If approval is given by the EPA, the proposal will be advertised publicly, and adjoining landowners will have the opportunity to make formal submissions. Finalisation of the proposal will involve consideration by the Western Australian Planning Commission and the Minister for Planning. The finalised structure plan, together with the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River Local Planning Scheme (as amended) will stipulate the required setbacks.
(2) Setbacks will be enforced by the Shire (in considering development applications) and the Western Australian Planning Commission (in considering subdivision applications) as may be applicable.
