479. Hon SAMANTHA ROWE to the
minister representing the Minister for Housing:
Residents in Kalamunda and surrounding suburbs have expressed
concerns about the shortfall in residential aged-care facilities in the area.
(1) Does the
government share the concerns of these residents in relation to a residential
aged care shortage in the area?
(2) If yes to (1), what plans are in place to address the
shortfall in the immediate future?
(3) Has the
state government lobbied the federal government to increase the availability of
residential aged-care facilities; and, if not, why not?

asked of the Minister for Health.
