Under Labor's watch, house and rent prices doubled. From the end of 2000-01 financial year to the end of the 2007-08 financial year Labor only increased the number of Homeswest houses and units by an average of 51 dwellings per year.
The Department of Housing advises:
As the committee's report made 35 recommendations across a number of portfolios, the response requires careful consideration and coordination. The Government will respond in due course.
