I ask a supplementary question. Can the Premier confirm that government ministers are not considered to be public sector employees for the purposes of the Public Sector Management Act? Dr G.I. GALLOP
AnswerView source ↗
What I will say is that all the ministers on this side will cooperate fully with the inquiry, just as we did with the Hooker inquiry. From our point of view, there is no problem with all the ministers participating. The inquirer will make his judgments on these matters. The question that needs to be answered is will the Liberal Party ministers cooperate with this inquiry. Point of Order Mr M.J. BIRNEY : Mr Speaker, the Premier is not being relevant. My question very clearly asks the Premier whether his government ministers are considered to be public sector employees under the Public Sector Management Act. The Premier has not answered that question, and I urge you, Mr Speaker, to urge him to do so. The SPEAKER : Order! The member’s supplementary asks for an opinion of the Premier in any case.
