(1) Will the minister indicate the estimated total cost of the land and buildings for the co-location facility to which the minister proposes the Mundaring volunteer fire brigade relocate in the industrial centre of Mundaring? (2) Of this amount, how much has been contributed by - (a) the Fire and Emergency Services Authority of Western Australia; (b) the Shire of Mundaring; or (c) other? (3) Is the amount contributed by FESA outlined in the May 2005 budget papers? (4) If so, in which line item is it contained; and, if not, why not? (5) Is the amount contributed by the Shire of Mundaring conditional upon the Mundaring volunteer fire brigade’s relocation to the industrial site, or is it available whichever site is used for the Mundaring volunteer fire brigade’s relocation? Hon KIM CHANCE

I thank Hon Helen Morton for her first question addressed to me. I provide the answer on behalf of the minister representing the Minister for Police and Emergency Services. (1) The Fire and Emergency Services Authority of Western Australia advises that the indicated cost is $920 000. However, due to project delays, this is now subject to a pre-tender estimate, so that figure will not necessarily hold. (2) FESA advises that the division is as follows - (a) FESA, $460 000; (b) Shire of Mundaring, $460 000; (c) Other, nil. (3)-(4) FESA advises that yes, it is contained on page 614 of volume 2 of the Budget Statements under the line item “FESA Volunteer Collocation - Mundaring”. (5) FESA advises that funding is subject to relocation to the industrial site.
