Following visits to a number of smaller and regional schools, the Minister for Education recently announced increased support for school leaders which acknowledges the unique challenges these schools face. The Minister also released a new Regional Education Strategy to support learning, enhance pathways, and attract and retain quality teachers, leaders and support staff for regional schools. These initiatives complement existing attraction and retention incentives such as targeted payments and allowances.
