STATE FINANCES — COMMONWEALTH BUDGET 2015–16
— TREASURY ANALYSIS
372. Mr B.S. WYATT to the Treasurer:
I have a supplementary question. In
light of the Treasurer's statement that he will release it once he
finds it, and the fact that sometimes the commonwealth budget has impacts that
are not ''readily apparent'', will the Treasurer release the
Treasury analysis including those ''not apparent'' impacts once
it has been completed?

Just like we did last year, yes, we
will. It might take a while because there often has to be some discussion with
commonwealth officials about what they mean by certain things. Many of the
changes are to parameters and others. As per the last time, when we get an
assessment, we will discuss in this house, and release generally, the estimated
impact on the budget. I might add that last year—just to reiterate what
the Premier said—in the 2014–15 budget and the midyear review,
the commonwealth made some decisions that impacted on our costs, particularly
in education and health. But in tomorrow's budget we will announce
record expenditure on both those, indicating large and continued priorities and
expenditure on both health and education, irrespective of what the commonwealth
does, coming from this state.
