(a) Yes. WorkSafe records indicate that as at 16 January 2003, three letters have been written to the owners/managing agents over the five year period. One improvement notice was written, however this was subsequently withdrawn due to a concern over its validity.
(b) Yes
(c) The level of asbestos in the buildings is typical for a building of this age where spray applied limpet asbestos was used to fire proof steel support beams. WorkSafe is continuing to liaise with the managing agents to ensure the risk is appropriately managed.
