DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING — MAINTENANCE JOB ORDERS
366. Mr P.C. TINLEY to the Minister for Housing:
I refer to the second part of my
question, which is whether any of the 21 000-plus job orders identified as

the relevant authorities. Has the minister actually dealt with the fraudulent
behaviour?

I think I made it clear in my
response that I was not aware of how many were fraudulent; therefore, I am not

Mr
D.T. REDMAN : Therefore, I am not aware of what level of reporting has
happened from the agency to the police or anyone else on the matter of
fraudulence. But I do stand on the fact that we have responded, putting
compliance processes in place, thereby ensuring that taxpayers get value for
money and that there is a quality assurance process in the quality of the jobs
that get achieved and that we get those jobs completed in a timely manner.
