I refer to the Government's ineffective outsourcing to find a solution to the ticking timebomb that is the insolvent and foreign owned Griffin Coal, and I ask: (a) what is the total that has been paid to the following consultant firms for advice on the insolvent Griffin Coal, during 2023, 2024, and to 10 December 2025: (i) KPMG; (ii) Ad Astra Advisor; (iii) Sternship Advisers; (iv) Preston Consulting; and (v) Ashurst Legal; (b) what reports have the above groups in (a) provided to Government, and on what dates; (c) in reference to (b), how many of the reports are available for public scrutiny and please provide those that are; and (d) as at 10 December 2025, how many of the aforementioned groups are still engaged by Government, and have any additional Griffin consultants, entities or advisors been engaged by Government?

(iv) $207,757 (inc. GST).
(v) $921,600.93 (inc. GST).
(b – c) KPMG provide regular reports on mining operations and financial matters at Griffin Coal. Ad Astra Corporate Advisory has prepared reports to Government on commercial matters relating to Griffin Coal and related coal matters. Preston Consulting has prepared reports on rehabilitation matters at Griffin Coal. The details of these reports are commercial in confidence.
(d) Three are still engaged, and an additional group has been engaged as of 10 December 2025.
