I refer to the provision of Training and Development options for Indigenous staff working within the Department of Indigenous Affairs, and ask —
(1) What percentage of current staff working within the Department of Indigenous Affairs (DIA) is Aboriginal?
(2) What accredited professional development opportunities have indigenous staff within the DIA been offered since June 2011 (i.e. training that provides an accredited certification or academic qualification of some kind)?
(3) How many indigenous staff within the DIA have taken up accredited training opportunities since June 2011?
(4) What percentage of staff working within the Department of Indigenous Affairs in June 2008, June 2009, June 2010 and June 2011 was Aboriginal?
(5) What level of funding is currently allocated to the training and career development of Aboriginal staff within DIA in the 2012-13 Budget?
(6) What level of funding was allocated to the training and career development of Aboriginal staff within DIA in the 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 Budgets?
(7) How many Aboriginal staff have been promoted within DIA since June 2011?
(8) How are promotions awarded to Aboriginal staff within DIA (i.e. on what criteria are level advancements based)?
(9) Over the past year has the DIA received any complaints regarding the accessibility or quality of training offered to indigenous staff working within the DIA?

June 2011- 33.4 per cent.
(5) There is no specific allocation of funding for training and career development of Aboriginal staff within the Department of Indigenous Affairs (DIA). The training budget is available for the development of all DIA staff.
