I refer to the answer to question without notice No. 1147, asked on 14 October 2015, and I ask: (a) will the Minister list the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse community leaders consulted; (b) how, and in what form, did that consultation take place; (c) who conducted the consultation; and (d) is there a formal report of the consultation and, if so, what is its title?

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) advises:
(a)-(c) In 2009, an Inclusion Emergency Management with CALD Communities Working group was established with membership from the then Fire and Emergency Services Authority, Western Australia (WA) Police, Premier and Cabinet’s Office of Multicultural Interests, Department of Child Protection, Metropolitan Migrant Resource Centre, Australian Red Cross, Murdoch University and WA Local Government Authority to review and implement the 2008 report recommendations.
The list of people who attended the working group’s various activities is available however DFES does not have attendees documented approval or agreement to release that information. In addition, the recorded involvement of individuals involved in the consultation does not provide sufficient information to show which CALD groups were formally represented, and who amongst the attendees were formally designated as “community leaders”.
(d) No.
