STRATEGY TASKFORCE
981. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the minister representing the
Minister for Planning:
I refer to the
Pickering Brook and surrounds sustainability and tourism strategy taskforce and
working group.
(1) Can the
minister list the current membership of —
(a) the
taskforce; and
(b) the working
group?
(2) Since their establishment, how many meetings have been
held by —
(a) the taskforce; and
(b) the working group?
(3) Of the meetings referred to in
(2)(a) and (b), will the minister list the date of each meeting?

some notice of the question. The following response has been provided by the
Minister for Planning.
(1) The taskforce
includes the Minister for Planning as chair, the Minister for Agriculture and
Food, the Minister for Tourism and the chair of the Western Australian Planning
Commission.
The working group includes
representatives from the Cities of Kalamunda and Armadale, a community member
and representatives from the following state government agencies: the
Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage;
Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, from Tourism WA;
Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development; Department of
Water and Environmental Regulation; Department
of Fire and Emergency Services; and Department of Biodiversity, Conservation
and Attractions.
(2)–(3) The
taskforce met four times—in September 2020, February 2022, November
2023 and April 2024. The working group met 13 times between January 2019 and
September 2022.
