(1) I refer to the Premier’s media statement of 7 June 2003 announcing the planned appointment of a Government Architect and ask why is it that the Position Description for the Government Architect does not require applicants to demonstrate any expertise or abilities in energy or water efficient building design principles?
(2) Will applicants be assessed on their understanding of and demonstrated abilities in applying sustainable building principles to architectural issues so as to minimise water, electricity and material usage while maximising economic, social and environmental benefits to the community?
