I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) Yes.  From the executive summary of the report it is apparent that BSD Consultants was asked to undertake a study to establish whether it was possible to accommodate a railway in the Kwinana Freeway reserve between Perth city station and Mandurah and what short-term measures might be undertaken to ease existing traffic congestion on the Narrows Bridge. (2) The then Commissioner of Railways commissioned BSD Consultants to undertake the study. (3) My copy of the question refers to the study being presented to Parliament; the member referred to “the Government”. Hon Derrick Tomlinson:  Yes, I did.  It has never been presented to Parliament.  I want to know who got it. Hon G.T. GIFFARD:  In that case, the minister’s response is that, to the best of her understanding, the report has never been made public. (4) A copy will be obtained and tabled at the next sitting of the House.
