I am already on the record—in
fact, in my first answer in this house—outlining housing and funding
initiatives in Kalgoorlie. I have already announced them. I have said it. I have
talked through it. I find it extraordinary what we are hearing from the Leader
of the Liberal Party. Remember that this man, the Leader of the Liberal Party,
on social media blamed me for 100 homeless deaths.
Dr D.J. Honey : That's
not true. We'll deal with that today.
Mr J.N. CAREY : You have; you
have on the social record.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Order, please!
Mr J.N. CAREY : This is the
member who said that I am heartless and have no compassion for the homeless. We
are hearing from members of the opposition, and we will hear it in debate this
afternoon, the distortion of figures and distortion of media reports. It is a deliberate
campaign by them. It is very clear that we are delivering as part of our $2.4 billion
program on housing and homelessness across Western Australia.
The SPEAKER : Members, that
concludes question time.
