STATE BUDGET 2010–11 — BUDGET DECISIONS CUT-OFF DATE
I have a supplementary question. By way of a yes or no answer, can the Treasurer guarantee that all of the Barnett government’s spending commitments will be fully funded and brought to budget in the 2010–11 budget? Mr T.R. BUSWELL

I can guarantee that the budget will easily comply with all of the relevant legislative frameworks related to it. Mr B.S. Wyatt : No! Sit down, you twit—no! Several members interjected. Mr T.R. BUSWELL : Easily! I guarantee that we will keep supporting jobs and we will keep supporting the state’s economy, because that is what we were elected to do. We will keep delivering better services, we will keep the state’s AAA credit rating, and we are working hard to keep the state in surplus. It is not easy, but we are focused on the big picture. We are not drowning in the minutiae; we are focused on the big picture of supporting the state.
