BANKSIA HILL DETENTION
CENTRE AND UNIT 18, CASUARINA
480. Hon Dr BRAD PETTITT to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer to Banksia Hill Detention
Centre and unit 18. I understand that the latter has required some structural
modifications to cells in order to be fit to house young people.
(1) How many
cells exist at each facility that are fit for purpose to house young people?
(2) How many are
currently operational and fit to safely detain young people?
(3) How many are
currently offline or unsafe to house young people?
