I answer on behalf of the minister
representing the Minister for Environment. I thank the member for some notice
of the question. The following answer has been provided to me by the Minister
for Environment.
The Minister for Environment
identified the Ministers for Water, Aboriginal Affairs, Lands, and Ports to be
key decision-making authorities for the Perdaman urea project under section
45(2) of the Environmental Protection Act
1986. On 24 January 2022, an agreement was reached with the key decision-making
authorities under section 45(3) of
the act and the proposal may be implemented, subject to conditions, the details
of which are reflected in ministerial statement 1180.
