The Minister for the Environment provides the following reply - (1) To date no management plans for the 30 proposed new national parks have been finalised. However, eight of the 30 new national parks are included in the new management plans currently being prepared, and are the proposed Walpole south, Walpole north, Mt Roe, Mt Lindesay, Wellington, Guilderton, Bramley, and Forest Grove National Parks. (2) Expenditure is allocated not by individual parks, but by the Department of Conservation and Land Management districts and regions. In total, $14.9 million of the $25 million allocated by this Government over four years has been expended on management planning, site design, visitor and conservation management, fire management and environmental protection of the 30 new national parks. (3) None.
