(1) What is the current annual royalty income paid by Woodside for gas supplied to its Burrup Hub facilities and what is the estimate of royalty income that would be paid: (a) three years time; (b) five years time; and (c) 10 years time? (2) Has the Commonwealth estimated or projected total or annual royalty income that would be paid over the life of the proposed expanded Burrup hub? (3) If so, will the Minister table these estimates? (4) If not, why not? (5) Will Woodside’s proposed Burrup Hub expansion result in more or less royalties being paid, compared with current royalty receipts?

1.         North West Shelf grants estimates are contained within the State Budget and Mid-Year Review.
2-5.      Forecasts of royalties relating to the Scarborough gas project (which is located in Commonwealth waters and outside the North West Shelf revenue sharing arrangement) are internal to the Commonwealth Treasury. Also, it is important to note the Commonwealth levies petroleum resource rent tax rather than ad valorem royalties.
