(e) The State is concerned that the current operation of the North Kimberley Fire Abatement Project poses significant risk to human lives and infrastructure and has engaged with the Commonwealth, relevant Local Government Authorities, affected native title groups and the KLC to address these matters. In particular, the State wishes to ensure that the necessary safety precautions and risk management processes are put in place to mitigate the risks.
