OFFICE OF MULTICULTURAL
INTERESTS — PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT POSITION
1127. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Interests:
I refer to the principal consultant
job advertised with the Office of Multicultural Interests position 1 601.
(1) Is this a newly created position; and, if so, why
is it necessary to create another level 7 role within the agency?
(2) Will any
responsibilities of the other three current level 7 roles be revised; and, if
so, was there a capability gap that needed to be addressed?
(3) How many applications for the
position has the OMI received to date?
(4) Will the minister's office still retain a senior
policy adviser for advisory on matters relating to the Office of
Multicultural Interests?
