STOLEN WAGES REPARATION SCHEME
880. Hon ROBIN CHAPPLE to the Minister for Indigenous Affairs :
I refer to the WA stolen wages reparation scheme.
(1) Are Aboriginal people who worked on
pastoral stations and whose wages were not paid to them eligible to access the
scheme?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) If no to (1), what is the government's reason for
discriminating against these workers?
(4) If yes to (1), how can the former workers access the scheme?

(1) No.
(2) The ex gratia payments are limited to those whose incomes were
controlled directly by government.
(3) Station workers' incomes were not controlled directly by
government.
(4) Not applicable.
